YORK -- Lillian Jane Stewart Barnwell, 82, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at her home in York.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2008, at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Don Thacker and the Rev. Susan Denne will be officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
A resident of York, Lillian was a daughter of the late John Franklin Stewart and Bessie Ann Wilson Stewart. She was a member of the Fist Presbyterian Church, where she was a choir member for over 60 years and was in Circle 4. Lillian also took part in the thrift store ministries, was active in Golden Ages and was a member of the Latta Extension Homemaking Club. She worked downtown for a number of years in the York Drug Sore and Boylin's Department Store.
She is survived by her husband, James "Bo" Barnwell of York, S.C.; three daughters, Stewart A. Dragner of Rock Hill, S.C., Vickie B. Johnson and husband, David, of Lincolnton, N.C., and Lisa B. Baker and husband, Alfred H., of Rock Hill; son, James B. Barnwell of York; grandson, Louis James Dragner and wife, Katherine B.; and wo granddaughters, Katrina D. Wood and husband, Andrew and Amanda J. Pantelidis and husband, Nick.

Visitation will be held at the Gillespie House at First Presbyterian Church today, March 15, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m.
