ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Betty Lee Dabney Williams, 75, went to sleep, awaiting the resurrection, Wednesday, March 19, 2008, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House.
The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, March 21, 2008, at First Assembly of God, with the Rev. Bernie Lewis officiating. Burial will be private.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Williams was a daughter of the late Thomas Fleming Dabney and the late Melinda Elizabeth "Betty" Bumgardner Dabney. She was a member of First Assembly of God and formerly the church secretary at Main St. Methodist Church for 25 years.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, James C. Williams Jr. of Rock Hill; her sons, Steve Williams of Rock Hill and Brian Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; her daughter, Melinda Williams Niday of Rock Hill; her brothers, Thomas F. Dabney Jr. of Asheville, N.C., Frank D. Dabney of Danville, Va., and O. Ray Dabney of Kentucky; her sisters, Elaine Hegwood Duncan and Patricia "Tish" Lorick, both of Rock Hill; her brother-in-law, Bill Reeves; and one granddaughter, Julie Williams of Rock Hill. She was preceded in death by her brother, Hazel Dabney; and her sisters, Matrel Reeves and Lucille Clark.
The family will receive friends following the service at the church family life center.
