ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Ora Lee Barber, 70, of 1170 Cardinal Point Drive died March 19, 2008, at Hospice & Community Care.
She was born Nov. 3, 1937, in Chester, S.C., to the late Albert Brown and Rosie Cunningham. She attended the Chester County public schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Barber.
She leaves to cherish her memories son, Tommy Brown (Marilyn) of Rock Hill, S.C.; brother, Willie Brown (Etta) of Catawba, S.C.; sister, Dorothy Curry of Rock Hill; stepsisters, Willietta Thompson, Mattie Little (Walter) of Charlotte, Eva McCullough of Newark, N.J., Brenda McDow (Willie) of Fort Lawn, S.C.; stepbrothers, Thomas McCullough of Yhattville, Md., Billy B. McCullough (Clarrie) of Catawba and James McCullough of Charlotte, N.C.; six grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today, March 24, 2008, at Parker Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Zion AME Zion Church, with the Rev. Sandra Sistare officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
