ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Alice Merritt King, 68, of 4940 Percival Road, died Thursday, March 27, 2008, at her home.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, March 30, 2008, at Oakdale Baptist Church, with Pastor Jerry Devinney and Connie Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow at the Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery, Hwy 321 South, York.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. King was a daughter of the late Thomas Heyward Merritt Jr. and the late Alice Thelma Dunlap Merritt. She graduated from Rock Hill High School and the College of Commerce in Rock Hill. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Mike King of the home; her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne King and Tammy Taylor and Merritt and Kellye King, all of Rock Hill; her daughter and son-in-law, Christine K. and Rocky Rhoad of Rock Hill; her sister, Eloise Anderson of Rock Hill; seven grandchildren, Thomas King, Chandler King, Ashlyn King, Will King, Weston King, Kristen Rhoad and Trey Rhoad; one great-granddaughter, Graycie Lowder; and her beloved dog, Jingles.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at the home.
