CLOVER -- Mr. Harry F. Smith Jr., 83, of 5987 Natoma Road, died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Agape Rehab.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today, March 31, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Sanford Harry Smith officiating.
A native of Spartanburg, S.C., Mr. Smith was a son of the late Horace Frederick Smith Sr. and Nellie Frances Abshier Smith. He was a member of the American Legion Post #34, the York County Fair Association, and was a Red Cross Instructor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the widower of Miriam Medlock Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Russell Franklin and Linda D. Smith of Lake Wylie and Sanford Harry and Judy Terry Smith of Campobello, S.C.; his brother, James McElveen of Rock Hill; four grandchildren, Kim Dalton and her husband, Hal, of Spartanburg, Russell F. Smith and his wife, Lisa, of Rock Hill, Frederick Daryl Smith and his wife, Suzanne, of Lake Wylie, and Natalie Smith Miles of Conway, S.C.; and seven great-grandchildren, Tyler and Trevor Dalton of Spartanburg, Russell F. Smith III and Kristen LeShay Smith of Rock Hill, Frederick Daryl Smith Jr. of Clover, Cort Walker Miles of Conway and Riley Arigho Smith of Lake Wylie.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude S. Roper and Hannah S. Clarg.
The family will receive friends following the service at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill and other times at the home.
