Juanita Rish Beddingfield

GASTONIA, N.C. -- Juanita Rish Beddingfield, 97, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

A native of Aiken, S.C., Mrs. Beddingfield was a daughter of the late John J. and Lela Still Rish. She retired from Firestone Textiles after 40 years service and was a lifelong member of Loray Baptist Church, where she was a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School class and when her health allowed was very active with the senior citizens group and visiting home bound members of Loray Baptist Church.

The funeral is 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at Loray Baptist Church, with Dr. Kent Cranford officiating. Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.

Survivors are one son, Glenn Beddingfield and wife, Anita of Chester; daughters, Delores Ledwell, Maxine Massey and husband, James, of Gastonia, Willie Dellinger and husband Rodney, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Linda Habitzreiter and husband, Rick, of Dallas, Texas;14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 68 years, Oliver Beddingfield; daughter-in-law, Christine Beddingfield; two grandsons, Scott Dellinger and Gregory Breitler; and sister, Reba McKinney.

Pallbearers are Randy Dellinger, Jay Dellinger, Dennis Dellinger, Steve Ledwell, James T. Beddingfield and Chris Massey.

Memorials may be made to Loray Baptist Church, 1128 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, N.C. 28052 or to Calvary Baptist Church, 610 Calvary Baptist Church Road, Chester, SC 29706.
