GREAT FALLS -- Frank Lathan of 31 Canal St. died Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. today, April 3, 2008, at the graveside in Greenlawn Cemetery, with the Rev. Grover Johnson officiating.
Mr. Lathan was a son of the late Dewey Lee and Josie Mae Stanton Lathan. He was born Feb. 20, 1935, in Chesterfield County, S.C., and attended the Chesterfield County Schools. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and was retired from J.P. Stevens Company.
Mr. Lathan was the widower of Valeta Huffstetler Lathan.

Surviving are his daughter, Debra May and husband, Phil, of Great Falls; grandson, Joshua May of Great Falls; granddaughter, Keli Lathan of Lancaster; and daughter-in-law, Teresa Neal Lathan of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Lathan.
Memorials may be made to Mount Zion Baptist Church, 6924 Wateree Road, Great Falls, SC 29055.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 3:45 p.m. today at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home and other times at 5387 Golf Course Road, Great Falls.
