CHESTER -- Mr. William Dewey "Bill" Dennis Sr., 81, of 609 Still St., died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Chester Regional Medical Center.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ralph Byars and the Rev. Gerald Funderburk officiating. Burial will be in Chester Memorial Gardens with full military honors.
Mr. Dennis was born in Chester, S.C., on Aug. 16, 1926, a son of the late Morris Dewey and Veda Hull Dennis . He was retired from the U.S. Armed services, having served with the U.S. Navy and Air Force with 33 years service and also retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was the widower of Billie Brantley Dennis.
Surviving are three daughters, Karen Bailey and Paula Lucas, both of Chester and Valerie Blair of Sharon, S.C.; two sons, William D. "Rip" Dennis Jr. of Chester and Robert Dennis of Lowrys, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Barron Funeral Home, 133 Wylie St., Chester.
