ROCK HILL -- Mr. Adron Houser Logan, 83, formerly of Chester, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at Park Pointe Village in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 4 p.m., April 6, at First Baptist Church Lowrys, with Mr. Andy Logan and Rev. Mike Shaffer officiating. Burial will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
Born in Cleveland County, N.C., Mr. Logan was the son of the late Joseph Franklin and Maggie Houser Logan.
Mr. Logan was a successful farmer in Chester and a former S.C. State Farmer of the Year. Through his hard work and business acumen, he provided wonderful lives and opportunities for his six children. He was a member of First Baptist Church Lowrys and the husband of Jewell White Logan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law, Andrew Steve Logan of Rock Hill, Charles Adron Logan of Columbia and Joseph Franklin and Elvessa Logan of Apex, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gail Logan Robinson and Tom Robinson of Spartanburg; Joy Logan Connelly and Bob Connelly of Spartanburg; and son-in-law, Russell Joseph Ruggieri of Watkinsville, Ga.; he is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Brian Andrew Logan, Amy Robinson Davenport, Daphne Robinson Petros, Charles Taylor Logan, Lindsay Michelle Logan, Christopher Logan Connelly, Robert Cameron Connelly, Brian Joseph Ruggieri, Rebecca Logan Ruggieri, Isabella Grace Aragon Logan and Benjamin Tyler Aragon Logan; four great-grandchildren; and one sister Lessie Rollins of Chester.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, David Lynn Logan; and a daughter, Vicki Logan Ruggieri; as well as by two brothers, Vernon Eugene Logan and Lawrence William Logan.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 to 4 p.m., April 6, in the First Baptist Church Lowrys Fellowship Hall.
