CATAWBA -- Mrs. Mary Ann Ayers Brown Gibson, 89, died Thursday, April 3, 2008, at her home.
The funeral service will be 3 p.m., Monday, April 7, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with Revs. Dennis Ayers, Mike Black and Eddie Williams officiating. Burial will be at the Catawba - Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Gibson was a daughter of the late Johnny Ayers and the late Ruth Gordan Ayers. She worked as secretary at Divine Saviour Hospital in York and at J. P. Stevens for 25 years. She was a beautician and a graduate of Southeastern Beauty College in Charlotte. She was the widow of Richard Brown and Charles Marshall Gibson. She was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Gibson is survived by her sons, Lewis H. Brown Sr. of Chester, Donald L. Brown Sr., Hazel Edward Brown Sr., and Otis Roddey Brown, all of Rock Hill; her daughters, Nettie L. Funderburk, Alice Grace Willis, and Martha Sue Brown Gunderson, all of Rock Hill; three grandchildren she raised, Pam Brown James, Karen Diane Brown, and Ricky Brown; 31 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 25 great-great-grandchildren; and special caregivers who gave her love, kindness and special care.

The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill.
