CHICAGO, Ill. -- Mrs. Annie Mae King passed away in Chicago, Ill., on March 30, 2008, after a brief illness.
A native of Catawba, S.C., Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Samuel Walker and the late Elizabeth (Lizzie) Walker. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Emmett Scott High School in Rock Hill and junior college in Tennessee.
Mrs. King is survived by her husband, Willie L. King and their children, Larry King, Shirley K. Martin and her husband, George, Mary K. Good and her husband, Vinay, Michael King and Michelle K. Harbeck and her husband, Mark. She was preceded in death by her son, Willie L. King Jr. She is also survived by her brother, Hazel Walker of Markham, Ill., and her sisters, Eliza Mills and Abbie Walker of Rock Hill; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. King was an active member of the Church of Christ in Chicago. She leaves a legacy of love, kindness and generosity.
