ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Eva Mae Pethel Carpenter, 80, of 1007 Linwood Drive, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2008, at Whitesell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Brown officiating.
A native of Kannapolis, N.C., Mrs. Carpenter was a daughter of the late Carl W. and Carrie Carroll Pethel. She was retired from Baldor Electric Inc. and was of the Baptist faith. She was the widow of Maxie Edmund Carpenter.
Surviving are two sons, Blair Carpenter and his wife, Gale and Tim Carpenter and his wife, Dee; one daughter, Tracie Carpenter King and her husband, Earnest; one brother, Arthur Pethel; one sister, Ruth Miller; five grandchildren, April Burris, Matthew Carpenter, Dylan Carpenter, Clint Carpenter and Cody King; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Trent Carpenter and a granddaughter, Leslie Hartis.
