ROCK HILL -- Mr. Forest Rippy Sr., of 1915 Ebenezer Rd., formally of 231 Morgan St., passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008.
A Celebration of Life, graveside service, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, April 13, at Forest Hills Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Dye officiating.
Born Feb. 9, 1911, in Blacksburg, to the late Thomas K. and Augusta Blackwell Rippy, Mr. Rippy was a retired weaver for Arcade Mills. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son, Forest Rippy Jr. of Rock Hill; his daughter, Betty Greene of Rock Hill; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; he is also survived by a brother, Wardell Rippy of Blacksburg; and two sisters, Pearl Bachelor of Blacksburg and Essie Thompson of Clover.
