ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Rita May Tate Hamilton, 50, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, at her home.
The funeral service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, April 13, at Catawba Baptist Church, 2639 Catawba Church Road, Rock Hill, with the Rev. Ron Richardson and Dr. Tommy Huddleston officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
A native of Effingham, Ill., Mrs. Hamilton was a daughter of Helen Westfall Tate of Effingham, and the late Ralph Emery Tate. She was a member and Sunday school teacher at Catawba Baptist Church and a 1st grade teacher at Sunset Park Elementary.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Hamilton is survived by her husband, Kenneth B. Hamilton of the home; her son, Tate J. Hamilton of Rock Hill; her daughters, Megan E. Hamilton and Morgan A. Hamilton, both of Rock Hill; and her brothers, Raymond Tate of Rockville, Md., Ronald A. Tate of Springfield, Va., Russell Tate of Murphysboro, Ill., and R. Jay Tate of Jackson, Tenn. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Tate Wagner.

The family will receive friends 5 to 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 12, at Catawba Baptist Church.
