MORRISDALE, Pa. -- Gladys Jane Turner Wallace, 81, of Morrisdale, Pa., went home to be with her Lord after a sudden illness at Amberwood Court in Denver, Colo., on April 13, 2008.
She resided at Amberwood for the past six years to be close to her daughter, Kimberly Ann Park and her husband, Glenn, and grandchildren, Angela R. Park and Adam L. Park of Parker, Colo.
She was born Feb. 4, 1927, in Clearfield County, Pa., the daughter of the late William E. and Emma Louise (Dunkle) Turner. She was married April 6, 1947, to Daniel James Wallace, whom she dearly loved and who died March 25, 1984.
Surviving are her son, Daniel J. Wallace Jr. and his wife, Susan of Morrisdale, Pa.; two daughters, Loretta J. Wallace Hepler and her husband, David of Clover, S.C., and Kimberly Ann Park and her husband, Glenn, of Parker, Colo.; four grandchildren, Jeaninne L. Wallace of Morrisdale, Pa., Jennifer L. Wallace Nash and her husband, Chris, of Blandsburg, Pa., Angela L. Park of Parker, Colo., and Adam L. Park of Parker, Colo.; her great-granddaughter, Brittany N. Wall of Morrisdale, Pa.; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Ethel M. Woods and Sara J. Wallace, both of West Decatur, Pa., Kathryn D. Wallace of Spring Mills, Pa., and William W. Wallace and his wife, Patsy, of Orlando, Fla.; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She was the last of her generation and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers, Carl Turner, Duane Turner, Dale Tuner, Lee Turner and James Turner; two half brothers, Bertis and Blair; one sister-in-law, June E. Johnson; and one brother-in-law, Paul W. Wallace.
Mrs. Wallace was a graduate of Clearfield High School, was a member of the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and loved the Lord. She loved working in her yard and spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, Pa., today, April 18, 2008, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Brent Salsgiver officiating. Burial will be in Summit Hill Cemetery.
