CLOVER -- Doris Burton Davidson, 63, of 6069 Little Mountain Road, Clover, S.C., died June 6, 2008.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Lake Wylie Christian Assembly, with the Rev. Lewis Gunn officiating. Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery, Clover, S.C. The family will receive friends today, June 7, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home, Lake Wylie, S.C.
Mrs. Davidson was born Oct. 4, 1944, in York, S.C., to Mary Frances Millen Burton and the late James Robert Burton. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. She was retired from Celanese and was a certified EMT and child advocate. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Benoy Parker and brother, Gary Paul Burton.
She is survived by her husband, Ben Edward Davidson Jr. of Clover; mother, Mary Frances Burton of Clover; daughters and sons-in-law, Robin and Phillip Poston of Raleigh, N.C., and Lisa and Todd Currier of Charlotte, N.C.; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Teri Benoy of Gastonia, N.C.; stepson and wife, Joseph and Melissa Davidson of Clover; grandchildren, Brett and Mark Parker, Jennifer and Marla Poston, Brittany Hart, Laura and Landon Benoy, Taylor and Spencer Currier, Chris and Josh Davidson; sister and brother-in-law, Polly Burton Stiles and William Stiles Sr. of Clover; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Judy Burton of Clover and Tim and Barbara Burton of Clover; and son-in-law, John Hampton Parker of Shelby, N.C.
