CLOVER -- Lois Evatt Shepherd, 80, of 495 Green Pond Road, Clover, S.C., died June 17, 2008, at home.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 20, 2008, at Clover First Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Stanford and the Rev. Ben Wingard officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends today, June 19, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover, S.C.
Mrs. Shepherd was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Cramerton, N.C., to the late Young Adam and Ellon Morgan Evatt. She was preceded in death by sisters, Jacklea Cassell and Fred Nelle Jenkins. Mrs. Shepherd was the widow of Donald Odell Shepherd.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia S. and Smithy Dickson of Clover; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey D. and Debbie Shepherd of Clover; brothers, Thurmond Evatt and his wife, Shirley, Mac Evatt and his wife, Sybill, all of Seneca, S.C.; sisters, Edna and her husband, Hubert Smith, Kathy and her husband, Ed Alexander, all of Seneca, Martha and her husband, Charles Myers, of Pendleton, S.C.; grandsons, Rev. Ben Wingard of Statesville, N.C., Jeremiah Shepherd of Columbia, S.C., Brad Shepherd of Gastonia, N.C.; granddaughter, Deanna Pauley of Shelby, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Regan Shepherd, Austin Wingard, Parker Wingard, McKenna Wingard, Madeline Pauley, Dawson Pauley, Brooke Shepherd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
