SMYRNA -- Matthew died on April 10, 2008, in New York. He was 33.
Matthew was born on Oct. 18, 1974, in the Bronx, New York to Patrick and Diana Lamb.
Matthew was the brother of Daniel Lamb. His family raised many foster children through the years and Matthew was a brother to all of them. Matthew was the closest to James who came into the family when they both were four years old. He also leaves behind Jason who was a brother to him and had known since they were both in the second grade.
Moving to South Carolina with his family, he graduated from York Comprehensive High School. He also attended York Technical College and graduated number one in his class and received his CDL license.

Matthew worked as an appliance tech in his brother, James' business.
Matthew had also worked for FEMA during the Katrina storms and met many people along the way that he helped. He took in abandoned dogs and fed them and found them homes. He was very touched and saddened by the sights of the aftermath in many of the states he worked in.
Matthew also enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He enjoyed restoring old cars and motorcycles. He was a master mechanic and worked on many of his friends' cars. He loved to ride motorcycles with his dad and with friends.
Matthew also leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as friends from South Carolina, Georgia and New York. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2008, at Bratton Funeral Home followed by a light meal at the family's home.
