FORT MILL -- Mr. Ted Lewis Triplett, 86, died Saturday, August 2, 2008, at Agape Rehabilitation Center. He was a resident of Chandler Place in Rock Hill and formerly of Academy Street in Fort Mill.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at Unity Cemetery.
Born in Granite Falls, N.C., Mr. Triplett was a son of the late Walt and Nellie Fairchild Triplett. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Triplett was a former commander of the Eli Bailes American Legion Post No. 43 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 9138. He was a member of the Catawba Masonic Lodge No. 56, a Shriner, the 40 and 8, and Scottish Rites. He was a retired construction superintendent. Mr. Triplett enjoyed ballroom dancing and gardening.
Surviving are his daughter, Robin T. Warner and her husband, Jimmy, of Rock Hill; three brothers, Jerry Triplett of Gaffney, Gene Triplett of Granite Falls, and Roger Triplett of Lenoir, N.C.; two sisters, Evelyn Barnes of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sylvia Blackwell of Hickory, N.C.; and his grandson, Patrick Latham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Bayne Triplett; two brothers, Steve and Phillip Triplett; and a sister, Irene Adams.

Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Wolfe Funeral Home. Masonic Rites will follow at 7:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of his daughter, Robin.
