ROCK HILL -- Mr. Jerry Lee Hawkins, 41, of 524 Chestnut St., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, at his home.
The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. today, Aug. 9, 2008, at Eastside Baptist Church, with Dr. Jim Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Hollis Lakes Road.
A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Hawkins was a son of Jimmy Hawkins of Rock Hill and the late Virginia Sanders Hawkins. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and the lead singer for the band, Plain Jane for 12 years. He worked for Samuel Strapping of Fort Mill. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cheryl Cherry.
In addition to his father and stepmother, Betty, Mr. Hawkins is survived by his wife, Lynne English Hawkins; his daughters, Cynthia "Cyndi" Leah Hawkins and Ashlynn Rene Hawkins, both of the home; his brother, Andy Hawkins; his sisters, Anita Hill and Angie Webster, both of Rock Hill and Rene Simon of Chester; and he was expecting his first granddaughter, Virginia Leigh Hawkins in October.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. (prior to the service) today at the church.
