CHESTER -- Mr. Harold Helms, 71, of 650 Pineview Lakes died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Bishop officiating. Interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
Born in Monroe, N.C., on July 12, 1937, he was the son of Pearl Stegall Helms and the late Wille B. Helms. He was owner and president of Textile Art and Film in Chester. He attended the schools of Indian Trail, N.C., and Second Baptist Church of Chester. He was a member of the Chester Civitans.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 36 years, Joyce Annette Clack Helms; three daughters, Carol Jean Brosi of Goldsboro, N.C., Karen Wright and Tammy Jacobs, both of Chester; one son, Keith Johnson of Chester; one sister, Edith Bradley of Indian Trail, N.C.; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Harold Helms Jr. and Tony Johnson; and one grandson, Josh Jacobs.
