FORT MILL -- Mrs. Brenda Sue Duncan Harvell, of Fort Mill, died Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at the Wayne Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Fort Mill Church of God, 221 Academy St., Fort Mill, with Bishop David Kemp officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery in Fort Mill.
Mrs. Harvell was the daughter of the late Edward "Ed" C. Duncan and Edna S. Duncan Huggins and also the stepdaughter of the late Lucas "J.C." Huggins, all of Rock Hill. She was a native of Lancaster, S.C., Mrs. Harvell retired from Springs Industries Inc. of Fort Mill (now known as Springs Global) in 2004. She worked briefly for Food Lion on 160 West in Fort Mill, leaving due to illness. Mrs. Harvell was a member of Fort Mill Church of God, a volunteer for Open Arms Outreach sponsored by the church and as a Watchman at Hospice & Community Care in Rock Hill.
Surviving are her husband, Steve Harvell; her daughter, Tammy A. Harvell Norkett and her husband, Charles "Charlie" of Rock Hill, S.C.; two sisters, Ruth Pace and her husband, Frank, of Piedmont, S.C., and Kathleen Dayvault and her husband, Wayne, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her brother, Charles "Chuck" E. Duncan Jr. of Rock Hill; her nephew, Grady Pace and his wife, April; and two great-nieces, Jessi and Dixie of Piedmont.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at Wolfe Funeral Home, 314 Spratt St., Fort Mill and other times at the home of Tammy Norkett, 1199 Barringer Road, Rock Hill.
