William Turner

ROCK HILL -- Mr. William Joseph Turner, 66, of 2208 Highwood Road passed away at his residence on Aug. 15, 2008.

Born in Jacksonville, Fla,. to the late Robert H. and Eva Thomas Turner, he was the owner of Bill's Painting and Body Shop, which he opened in 1970, was a dirt car racing owner and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Laney Turner of the home; sons, Billy Allen and Randy Turner of Rock Hill; and daughters, Sandra Simmers-Keith, Tammy Nichols and Donnie Kay Allen, all of Rock Hill, and Debra Turner of Oak Island, N.C. Also 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Barbara Turner Tison of Macon, Ga.

A graveside service of life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, at Grandview Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Keith Cobb. The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the residence.
