LANCASTER -- Mr. Richard Odell Cauthen, 75, of 2047 Hough Road, died Friday, August 15, 2008.
Mr. Cauthen was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church and was owner of RC Builders, Inc. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a retired volunteer firefighter, a life member of Camp Creek Masonic Lodge # 317 and member of Hejaz Shrine Temple. Mr. Cauthen was a member and former president of the Home Builders Association of Lancaster.
The funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Monday, August 18, 2008, at St. Luke United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Kyle Randle and Glenn Ribelin officiating. Burial with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be in St. Luke United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Cauthen is survived by the love of his life, Delores Hinson of Lancaster; three daughters, Merrio N. Barton of Lancaster, Susan C. Bennehoff of York and Libby C. Woodruff and her husband, Jeff, of Irmo; a brother, Manley Cauthen and his wife, Iris Jean, of Lancaster; two sisters, Irene Harper and her husband, Henry, of Lancaster and Faye Wilson and her husband, Jerry, of Knoxville, Tenn.; two grandsons, Jason Lee Stroud and William Woodruff; two nieces; six nephews; and his buddies, the Skippers.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Lancaster Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2047 Hough Road in Lancaster.
