YORK -- Leola George Brown, 89, of 1691 Sutton Springs Road, died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at her home in York.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Pastor Mike Goodwin and Bishop Glenn Spurlin will be officiating. Burial will be at Lakeview Memory Gardens.
A native of Lancaster, S.C., Leola Brown was a daughter of the late Maroni George and Hattie Jean Millins George. She was the widow of John Samuel Brown. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Helen Moss of Sharon, S.C., Pat Brindle of Rock Hill, S.C., and Linda Bradley of Clover, S.C.; six sons, Troy Brown of York, Samuel Brown of York, Tommy Brown of Clover, S.C., Dean Brown of Clover, David Brown of Bowling Green, S.C., and Michael Brown of Filbert, S.C.; a brother, Mack George of York, S.C.; two sisters, Bertha Harris of Rock Hill and Margaret Smith of Spartanburg, S.C.; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home today, Oct. 8, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m.
