ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Betty Swecker Harris, 70, of 1551 Springpoint Road passed away Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, N.C.
Funeral services for Mrs. Harris will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints - Catawba Ward, with Bishop Benjamin Glenson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Harris was born in Shenandoah, Va., and was the daughter of the late Charles and Leitha Kite Swecker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a Certified Nurse's Assistant with Home Health Care. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, David Adam Harris.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her son, Brian Adam Harris and wife, Candance; her daughters, Amanda Sisk and husband, Danny, of Chester, Patricia Melech and husband, Pete, of Dauphin Island, Ala., and Peggy Jeppi and husband, Vince, of Pasadena, Md.; her adopted daughter, Jo Hinson; her brother, Oscar Swecker and wife, Elma of Salem, Mass.; her grandchildren, Dakota Melech, Christopher Harris, Rosa Harris, Tina Morrow, Chris Sisk, Dana Sisk, Joseph Jeppi, Charles Jeppi, Tony Jeppi, Wayne Gable; and 11 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the church.
