CLOVER -- John Henry Adams, 92, of 2094 Knox Road died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at his home in Clover.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2008, at Midway Baptist Church. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery.
Born in Cool Springs, N.C., John was a son of the late Louin and Lilly Alexander Adams. He was a retired minister.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Cobb Adams of Clover, S.C.; seven daughters and their husbands, Judy and Johnny Dinsmore of Richmond, Va., Linda Freeman of Independence, Va., Lois and Terry Wilkinson of Pfafftown, N.C., Martha and Gary Frye of Clover, Marie and Al Yates of Galax, Va., Sandra and Kendall Smoak of Elmendorf, Alaska, Evelyn and David Brooks of Lakeland, Fla.; two sons and their wives, Bill and Tina Knox and David and Leslie Adams, both of Clover; 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three sons, Johnny Knox, Jerry Adams and Joey Knox and 11 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be held at Bratton Funeral Home today, Nov. 21, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m.
