GREAT FALLS -- Mrs. Faye Funderburk Oglesby, 90, formerly of Hampton Street, died Monday, Dec. 8, 2008, at White Oak Manor in Lancaster, S.C.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Dearborn United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Scott Smoak, the Rev. Grover Johnson and the Rev. Greg Batchelor officiating. Interment will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Oglesby was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Mecklenburg County, N.C., a daughter of the late John B. and Mary Funderburk Jacobs. She attended the schools of Great Falls and was retired from J.P. Stevens Company. A member of Mount Dearborn Methodist Church, Mrs. Oglesby was an active choir member. She was the widow of Hugh Kell Oglesby.
Surviving are her daughters, Sandra Broom and husband, Bobby Joe, of Great Falls, Patsy Threatt and husband, Ronny, of Lancaster and Carolyn Campbell and husband, John, of Lexington, S.C.; granddaughters, Donna Walters of Great Falls, Sheri Jones of Great Falls, Kim Sapp of Lancaster and Kelly Manning of Elgin, S.C.; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, J.B. Jacobs Jr. of Rockport, Texas; and several special nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home, 26 Underwood Ave., Great Falls, S.C.
