TEMPLE HILLS, Md. -- Priscilla Yvonne Payton Anderson passed away on Dec. 5, 2008, at her home in Temple Hills, of apparent complications of diabetes.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, LaVonne Payton of Temple Hills; granddaughter, ShaVonne Ferrell; and great-grandson, Kaden Jo'Von Askew, both of Temple Hills; mother, Mary Elizabeth Sanders of Bronx, N.Y.; husband, Terrence Anderson of Washington, D.C.; friend and former husband, Henry Lee Payton of Charlotte, N.C.; sister, Patricia Sanders Dunlap Pope (Kenneth) of Fort Mill, S.C.; brother, Rufus D. Sanders, also of Fort Mill; brother, John L. Sanders III (Juanita) of Charlotte; sister, Ethel Faye Blount of Bronx; sister, Rose Marie Blount of Washington; brother, Randolph S. Sanders Sr. (Renee) of Clover, S.C.; and brother, Reginald W. Sanders Sr. of Rock Hill, S.C. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The daughter of Mary Elizabeth Sanders and the late John Lester Sanders,Jr., Priscilla Yvonne was born on June 29, 1951, in Rock Hill, S.C., and raised in Fort Mill, S.C., where she attended the George Fish School.
Priscilla Yvonne was a kind, outgoing, and community minded spirit who established meaningful friendships in Fort Mill, New York, Charlotte and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. She will be remembered for her engaging customer service and work in the retail and realty property management industries. She enjoyed pursuing her interests in fashion, comedy, traveling, and rhythm and blues, reggae, and gospel music. Memories of her warm heart and laughter will be cherished by many.

The family will receive visitors at noon, Dec. 13, followed by a Homegoing Celebration Service at 1 p.m., at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1003 Steele Street, Fort Mill, SC 29715.
