ROCK HILL -- Mr. Jason Shane Long Sr., 28, of 4233 Cornelia Lane, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Duke University Medical Center, following a brave and extended battle against leukemia.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today, Dec. 13, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, S.C., with the Rev. Stephen Gaither officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
A native of Rock Hill, Jason was the son of Danny and Linda Barrett Long of Rock Hill. He worked as an electrician in the construction industry and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his sons, Master Brentian Chase Hammond and Master Jason Shane Long Jr., and his daughter, Miss Jalynn Skylar Long, all of Rock Hill; his sister, Stefanie Peurifoy and her husband, Brooks, his nephew, Master Barrett Peurifoy and his niece, Miss Hollis Peurifoy, all of Rock Hill; as well as a host of loving family and friends. Also surviving is his biological father, Jack Long.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, Dec. 13, 2008, from noon until time of the service and other times at the home of his parents, Danny and Linda Long, 760 Kendall Drive, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
