ROCK HILL -- Mrs. Helen Workman Gulledge, 90, of 1915 Ebenezer Road passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at White Oak Manor.
A memorial service for Mrs. Gulledge will held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Park Baptist Church, 717 E. Main St., with the Rev. Randy Thatcher officiating.
A native of Rock Hill, Mrs. Gulledge was a daughter of the late Crawford Workman and the late Cleo Jordon Workman. She was a member of Park Baptist Church, where she taught 8 year-old Sunday school and later attended adult Sunday school. She enjoyed teaching Vacation Bible School, loved to travel with the church groups and enjoyed participating in WMU. Mrs. Gulledge loved to dance and welcomed people as they came to White Oak Manor. She worked at Hoechst-Celanese for a number of years and with Smith Enterprises for over 10 years.
Mrs. Gulledge is survived by her sons, Emmett Laverne Gulledge of Rock Hill and David Gerald Gulledge of Garden City, S.C.; her daughters, Phyllis G. Belk and Sherri Helene Gulledge, both of Rock Hill; her brother, Crawford "C. W." Workman of Rock Hill; eight grandchildren, Robby Belk, Chris Freeman and Chaz Gulledge, all of Rock Hill, Jimmy Gulledge and Scott Gulledge, both of Michigan, Jason Gulledge of Tampa Bay, Fla., Logan Spoon of Clinton, S.C., and Evan Spoon of Greenville, S.C.; and 11 great-grandchildren, Preston Belk, Cameron Belk, Bobby Belk, Ashland Lawton and Stevie Freeman, all of Rock Hill, Nathan Spoon of Clinton, S.C., Kristyn Belk of Charleston, S.C., Catherine Gulledge, James Bundy Gulledge Jr., and Destinee Gulledge, all of Michigan and Jake Gulledge of Tampa Bay, Fla. Mrs. Gulledge was preceded in death by her husband, James Bunyon Gulledge and her sons, James Bundy Gulledge and Bobby Ray Gulledge and her grandson, Kris Belk.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of her daughter, Phyllis Belk, 2294 Olde Creek Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
