CLOVER -- Perry Workman Joye, 72, of 1568 Tom Joye Road, died Saturday December 13, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C.
The funeral service is 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Clover, S.C., with the Rev. Dave Stanford officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memory Gardens in York, S.C. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. today at M.L. Ford & Sons Funeral Home in Clover.
Mr. Joye was born October 8, 1936, in York County, S.C., to the late Thomas Henry and Annie Mae Sexton Joye. He served six years in the Clover, S.C. National Guard.
Survivors are his wife, Jean McDowell Joye; two daughters, Sally Ann Joye of Mount Holly, N.C., and Lori J. Serepca of Charlotte, N.C.; two sons, Daniel Perry Joye of Powder Springs, Ga., and Michael Shane Joye of Tega Cay, S.C.; three sisters, Mammie Thompson of Midlothian, Va., Louise Wyatt and Frankie Walker both of Clover; one brother, Ed Joye of Clover; and four grandchildren.
