MATTHEWS, N.C. -- Mr. Moser, 70, of Matthews, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, N.C.
His memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Mount Harmony Baptist Church in Matthews, with the Rev. Dr. H.W. (Buddy) Pigg, the Rev. Louis Jamison and the Rev. Steve Jacks officiating. Interment is private. His family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Born May 14, 1938 in Mecklenburg County, N.C., Mr. Moser was a son of the late Ralph Alexander Moser and Rena Weddington Moser. He retired as owner of Moser's Auto Upholstery and was a member of Higher Ground Church in Fort Mill, S.C. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, camping and traveling. In addition to his parents, Mr. Moser was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Rick Moser and his wife, Traci, of Matthews; his daughter, Carolyn Griffin of Fort Mill; three sisters, Martha Haigler of Cornelius, Myrtle Roberts of Charlotte and Doris Williamson of Georgia; three grandchildren, Neal Moser, Dale Griffin and Eric Griffin; and one great-granddaughter, Jaeleigh Emma Griffin.
