Robert Campbell

ROCK HILL -- Mr. Robert Allen "Tight" Campbell of 1617 Mulberry Circle, Rock Hill, S.C., died Dec. 16, 2008, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Flint Hill Baptist Church in Rock Hill, with the Rev. Terry O. Feaster presiding. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Baptist Church Cemetery in Chester, S.C.

A native of Chester County, S.C., he was the son of Minnie Lucille Feaster Campbell and the late Marion "Blue" Campbell. Robert was educated in Chester County public schools and was a graduate of Chester High School class of 1972. He was a retired worker of Continental General Tire, after 25 years of service. At an early age, he confessed Christ and became a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church in Chester. After moving to Rock Hill, S.C., he became a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rochelle Hinton.

He leaves to cherish fond memories his wife for 28 years, Rosalyn Harris Campbell; a daughter, Rashia Breana Campbell; mother, Minnie Feaster Campbell; six brothers, Manuel (Gloria) Campbell, Willie Campbell, Bobby (Mary) Campbell, Guy Campbell, James (Patricia) Campbell and Larry (Rosetta) Campbell; five sisters, Luella (Ray) Meadows, Dyotha' (Leander) Cathcart, Christine (John) Underwood, Laura Campbell and Beverly (Oscar) Buchanan; one grandchild, Meisha Hinton; nine aunts; two uncles; a devoted sister-in-law, Deborah Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family will receive friends at the home.

He can be viewed at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. today, Dec. 19, 2008.
