ROCK HILL -- Mr. Thomas Jefferson Brown Sr. of 5272 Woodside Drive, died Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2008, at CMC -Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, N.C.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Baxter officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
A native of Tutwiler, Miss., he was the son of Sarah Reese and the late Thomas Austin. He was a member of Union Baptist Church and was the owner of the River Stop.
Surviving are his mother, Sarah Reese of Chicago, Ill.; his former wife, Anjel Y. Brown of Fort Wayne, Ind.; three sons, Gregory Brown (Julia) of Powder Springs, Ga., Thomas Brown Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mark Edward Brown of Fort Wayne, Ind.; three daughters, Linda Chapman of Waukegan, Ill., Sharon Brown of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Kitanda Moore of Memphis, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Paul Brown (Mae) of Wadsworth, Ill., and Lee Brown of Waukegan, Ill.; and one sister, Marie Reese of Chicago, Ill.

Mr. Brown may be viewed from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Union Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from noon until 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Robinson Funeral Home is serving the Brown family.
