YORK -- Mrs. Julia "Julie" Annette Thomas Carter, 63, passed away Friday, December 19, 2008, at her home.
The memorial service will be 6 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Rick Sturgis officiating. Burial will be private.
A native of Shelby, N.C., Mrs. Carter was a daughter of the late Franklin David Thomas Sr. and the late Myrtle Agnes Thrift Robinson. She was a homemaker and a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Dan Carter; her sons, Chris Carter and his wife, Tammy, of York and Dennis Keen and his wife, Toni, of Chester; her daughters, Stephanie Carter and her fiancé, T.J. Greene, and Annalisa Carter, all of York; her brothers, Frank Thomas and Reid Thomas, both of York, Mike Thomas and Gene Thomas, both of Rock Hill; her sister, Carol Knight of York; and 14 grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. (prior to the service) on Monday, December 22, 2008, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road in Rock Hill.
