CHESTER -- Mrs. Pearl Eva Hancock Clack, 88, died in Tampa, Fla., Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008.
Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009, at First Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Sanders officiating. Interment will be at Chester Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Clack was born in Peachland, N.C., Jan. 15, 1920, a daughter of the late Cephas and Alberta Hastings Hancock and was the widow of John Thomas Clack. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Helms of Chester, S.C., and Shirlee Harrell of Tampa, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, John Alvin Clack; two grandsons, Tony Johnson and Harold Helms Jr.; and one great-grandson, Joshua Jacobs.

The family will receive friends from 3 until 3:45 p.m. Thursday at First Free Will Baptist Church.
