CATAWBA -- Mr. Richard Alan Hepfer, 65, of 5100 B Caulderwood Lane, died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2009, at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, with Pastor Bernie Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
A native of Ferguson, Pa., Mr. Hepfer was the son of Gertrude Guiager Hepfer of Clearfield, Pa., and the late Franklin Hepfer. He was a retiree of TAFCO Sheet Metal Union, Clearfield, Pa., with over 35 years of service. He was a United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War and a member of First Assembly of God.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hepfer is survived by his wife, Deloris "Judy" Hepfer of the home; his sons, Richard A. Hepfer Jr. of Catawba, S.C., and Paul B. Hepfer of Rock Hill; two brothers; two sisters; and three grandchildren, Nickolas, Christine and Ashley.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:30-11:00 am at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, 355 E. White St., Rock Hill, SC 29730.
