Thomas A. McPheeters Jr., loving husband, loving father, great brother and all around wonderful person, ended his jouney with brain cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2009.
Tom is survived by his wife, Linda McPheeters; son, Thomas A. McPheeters III; stepmother, Lynda McPheeters; brothers, Major Anthony McPheeters and Dean Boyer. Tom is also survived by three sisters, Janie (Roger) Carter, Marty Kipp and Cheryl (David) Pettigrew and a total of 10 nieces and nephews.

Tom was born May 22,1954, in Clearview, Utah. He was predeceased by his father, Lt. Col. Thomas A. McPheeters Sr.; mother, Patricia Richitt McPheeters; and sister, Pamela [Boyer] Oliver. Tom worked in the airline industry beginning with the U.S. Navy and then with Pacific Southwest Airlines in California. PSA merged with USAir, now known as US Airways, career-spanning total of about 30 yrs., as A&P Mechanic. Tom was a member of the I.A.M. Union Local 1725 and loved bicycling from Rock Hill to Topsail Beach, N.C. Last trip ended with Tom doing 6,000 miles for the year of 2008. Tom will be missed but not forgotten.
A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service till 8 p.m.
