The Panthers began the process of stocking the offseason roster Monday by signing three of their practice squaders to future contracts.
WR Dexter Jackson (ASU, former second-round pick by Tampa Bay), CB Marcus Walker and DE Eric Moore were signed.
All college homerism aside, Jackson's looked more comfortable catching the ball in practice the last month than I ever saw him in Boone, for what that's worth. He's still got big-time speed, and figures to be a dark-horse next year.
Still don't think he's a return man, as he seems to lack that slam-it-in-there instinct. But as a slot guy with his kind of speed, he could be dangerous.
