Rock Hill schools' Web site has a new color-coded map that shows which areas of the school district fall under specific school board members.
The school district is governed by a seven-member school board. Two members, Chairman Bob Norwood and Vice Chairman Jim Vining, are at large. Other members represent specific voting districts.
Here's a link to the map.
Other useful info:
The board meets publicly twice a month:
5:30 p.m. second Mondays January through December. The board discusses topics that may be acted upon at the monthly business meeting. Sessions are usually held in one of the district's schools.
6 p.m. fourth Mondays, January through November, in the district office. The meeting is televised at 6 p.m. on Cable 18 the first two Tuesdays and Thursdays following the meeting.
Anyone who wishes, may address the board a business meeting about items on the agenda. To do so, fill out a form before the meeting starts. Forms are located at the entrance to the meeting.
