Panthers RT Jeff Otah walked through the locker room earlier wearing a big, black walking boot on his right foot. But he was quick to say it didn't mean he had a setback with his high right ankle sprain after practicing Wednesday.
"It just wasn’t right yet," Otah said. "It didn’t get worse, it’s still day to day. It doesn’t mean anything, just day-to-day."
At that point, veteran backup Geoff Hangartner commended the rookie for his grasp of the John Fox injury update lexicon.
C Ryan Kalil and Otah were each held out of practice Thursday after doing limited work Wednesday. WR D.J. Hackett was also out. Otherwise, the rest of the report was clean, with WR Muhsin Muhammad and LBs Thomas Davis and Adam Seward practicing fully.
