Not sure if John Fox is going to say it out loud, but we should have a better idea tomorrow who the Panthers starting quarterback will be for Arizona.
If I had to guess right now, I'd say Matt Moore, but it's early and I reserve the right to change my mind. Call it a 65-35 lean at the moment.
I agree with Fox that Delhomme's the best quarterback on the roster, but he seems like a guy who needs a break. I've never felt that way prior to this week, and the reason I've changed my mind is because he looks different than I've ever seen him.
We'll see. Fox may still honor his guy, see if Arizona was the thing wrong with him. Not sure. But in 24 hours, we should know for sure.
-- They'll announce some transactions this afternoon, since CB Dante Wesley will come off reserve-suspended. I'm thinking the fact he was inactive Sunday makes it a decent chance S Keith Lewis gets some lovely parting gifts.
Wouldn't be surprised to see a TE signed to the practice squad, given the Dante Rosario injury. Even if his knee problem isn't serious, they like to have that spot fully stocked, if only for practice purposes.
-- The way Arizona's been dinking and dunking, the Panthers need not only a good week from their secondary, but also to get LB Thomas Davis back on the field. Having extra guys who can cover the middle of the field is imperative.
You know, having somebody cover that Fitzgerald guy would help as well.
