The Panthers lost 27-3 in distressing fashion. They didn't really do anything well, and actively pursued doing things poorly. They ran for 40 yards, QB Jake Delhomme threw three interceptions for a clean 38.6 rating, the defense allowed its first 100-yard rusher of the season (Warrick Dunn, 22-115) and they gave up their third blocked punt in six games.
It was a mess.
Nothing major on the injury front. WR Muhsin Muhammad left briefly with a right knee sprain, but came back. "To be evaluated," he said. FB Brad Hoover suffered a compound dislocation of his right index finger. Nothing broken, and he was laughing about it, but it sounded pretty nasty.
