Well, Jon Beason finally got his wish.
The Panthers signed veteran DT Hollis Thomas Thursday morning, adding a bigger and more experienced body to a thin, young group.
Thomas was just released by St. Louis, after playing the past three seasons in New Orleans. The first 11 of his 15 NFL seasons were spent in Philadelphia.
When he's well, he's an effective space-eater (6-0, 340), but he's battled injuries in recent seasons.
To make room on the roster, the Panthers released DT Sunny Harris, who they claimed off waivers from Pittsburgh. He's got potential, but the Panthers don't have time for potential right now.
