Fort Mill is mentioned in the 2009 edition CNNMoney.com's "Best Places to Live."
Though it didn't make the Top 100, which I suppose is the real claim to fame, Fort Mill is the only York County town listed under South Carolina's best places to live. It's given the label "contender."
You can find the specific Fort Mill stats here. The stats are just for the town of Fort Mill, not the greater township, which is home to around 40,000 people.
In case you're wondering, Louisville, Colo., is apparently the best place to live in the United States, according to this survey.
