Sometimes you just have to say 'what the heck' and hope it works.
That's kind of the situation the Panthers are in today.

With no healthy FBs, they're going with the diminutive RB Tyrell Sutton as the lead-blocker. As long as the Saints don't step over him, it should work. He's low-cut, and that kind of big-legged frame makes him kind of explosive as a runner. But we'll see if he can hold up a linebacker for even a moment.
They practiced him there all week, and his teammates have had some fun with him, but it's going to be interesting to see how he handles the duty.
It's similar to the spot they're in at kicker. John Kasay's in uniform, but hasn't kicked in pre-game yet. Kickoff guy Rhys Lloyd went through Kasay's full pre-game kicking routine, and it looks like Kasay might be a "break-glass, pull-handle" type kicker today.
If you're convinced Kasay's groin injury is short-term, that's fine. But if this drags on for another week, it makes you wonder why they didn't bring actual field goal kickers in for a workout.
