With a little over two weeks to kill before training camp starts, fans and gamblers are getting a little itchy for football to start.
That's created some interesting discussion about where the Carolina Panthers fit into the big picture of the league.
One gambling website (bodog.com) has put the over-under on Panthers wins at 7.5 (+$115 for the over, -$145 for the under), and since their history points to 7-9 being the floor, that seems a good place to start the discussion.
For the most part, the national preview magazines have reached the consensus that the Panthers should finish third in the NFC South, ahead of Tampa Bay but well behind defending champ New Orleans and Atlanta.
With all the turnover, all the inexperience in key positions and all the unanswered questions going into camp, uncertainty reigns.
So are they under the radar, or there for good reason?
