A few odds and ends before I have to mow the lawn that went unattended over the weekend and is approaching Captain Munnerlyn height:
-- If you hated giving up next year's first to move up to get Everette Brown, imagine how much you'd hate the Panthers draft without him. If you start the day with Sherrod Martin and follow up with the guys they took Sunday, the most generous reaction you could muster would be: "Meh."

-- Got an unexpected message after the draft. In case you're not following along, we twitter now (@daringantt), and I was posting a few thoughts there during the process.
After the Duke Robinson pick, I noted his heritage, and said "I second that emotion." Real clever, huh? Well, not long after that, I get the notification e-mail from twitter.
That's right. Smokey Robinson is now following me on Twitter, to keep up with this great-nephew he's seen at least once or twice in his life.
The word you're looking for is "cool," because that's all that is. Now that Smokey and I are tight, maybe he'll come hang out during minicamp.
-- The Panthers have added an 18th undrafted rookie, OT Garry Williams from Kentucky. There may be more coming, after yesterday's 17 announced agreements.
Williams is a three-year starter, and was a decent pass-protector.
