Well, Cleveland came and went.
Get yourselves ready for another round of John Fox speculation, as Seattle just fired coach Jim Mora after one year.
The Seahawks haven't settled on a new GM yet, but you can bet Fox's name will come up on the list of usual suspects now, whether there's any validity to it or not.
Unlike the Browns job, the Seattle opening has a little more charm to it. Better location, easier path to winning, some solid young parts, etc.
(Update 3:21 p.m.) The Seahawks are reportedly interested in Southern Cal's Pete Carroll, which is interesting on many levels -- not the least of which is it keeps me out of that news cycle.
Interesting shirt-tail, Fox actually tried to hire Mora in 2003 to be his defensive coordinator, to replace Jack Del Rio. The job had been offered, and Fox asked Mora to decide by a certain date and time. Mora was perceived to be dragging his feet, so another deadline was issued. When it wasn't responded to, Mike Trgovac was quickly named Del Rio's replacement.
